Wesley Academy is pleased to announce one of its student's greatest accomplishments to date. Jaclyn Li (Grade 11) who began training with Wesley Academy in September of 2013, has won the HSBC National Public Speaking Competition. Jaclyn advanced to the grand final, held at Crofton House School, where she competed against six other finalists and was judged by Coleen Christie of CTV News, Andrew from Sonic Radio, and three other esteemed judges. Of the seven finalists, Jaclyn was ranked 1st on four out of five judges scoresheets.

Jaclyn will now advance as Canada's representative at the 2015 International Public Speaking Championship in London, England, where she will compete against over 50 National Delegates. Wesley Academy is so proud of Jaclyn Li for her stellar performance.

Wesley Academy alum, Lucy Liu will also be traveling to England in May as she competes at the International Championship for Young Debaters at Cambridge University.
